Jagathy Sreekumar (born Sreekumar Achary, January 5, 1951) is one of the greatest comic actors in Indian cinema and a true legend of Malayalam films. Nicknamed Nataka Nayakan and often called the “King of Comedy” in Kerala, he has acted in more than 1,500 films, making him one of the most prolific actors in the world.
Beginning his career in the 1970s, Jagathy quickly became indispensable for his impeccable timing, improvisational genius, and ability to steal scenes. He was equally at ease in slapstick, satire,…
