Vaidotas Martinaitis was born in Gargzdai and lives in Vilnius. In 1983-1988 he studied at Klaipeda S. Simkus Higher School of Music (trumpet specialization); from 1988-1990 he studied at the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (trumpet specialization); from 1990-1994 he studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music, Faculty of Theatre and Film, Department of Acting (actor specialization). Best known for Defiance (2008), Nova Lituania (2019) and Stranger Things (2016 - 2022).
